Abstract

Purpose of this study is to explore the perceptions of 44 Philosophy students of the Faculty of Science and Arts, who were assessed using portfolio assessment within the scope of the educational technology and material design course taught in the teacher training program, towards the portfolio assessment method and its instruction. The present study was conducted within the phenomenological framework, one of the qualitative research methods. The data were collected through an open-ended questionnaire and analyzed using content analysis techniques. Findings show that, participants are in favor of being evaluated using portfolio assessment method, and they expressed that a detailed course on portfolio assessment should be included in the Faculties of Science and Letters and other departments as well as the faculties of education. Regarding the instruction of portfolio assessment method, they are of the opinion that it should be learnercentered, based on group activities, evaluated together with students, and taught as a compulsory course in teacher education programs

Felsefe Öğrencilerinin Ürün Dosyası Değerlendirme Yöntemine İlişkin Algıları

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, pedagojik formasyon programında yer alan öğretim teknolojileri ve materyal tasarımı dersi kapsamında değerlendirmeleri yapılan 44 Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Felsefe Bölümü öğrencisinin öğrenci ürün dosyası değerlendirme yöntemi ve bu yöntemin öğretimine yönelik algılarını ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden biri olan “olgu bilim” deseni kapsamında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan bir anket yoluyla elde edilmiş ve içerik analizi tekniği kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre; öğrenciler öğrenci ürün dosyası değerlendirme yöntemi ile değerlendirilmeleri hakkında olumlu görüş bildirmişlerdir. Öğrenciler öğrenci ürün dosyası değerlendirmesine ilişkin bir dersin ayrıntılı olarak eğitim fakültelerinin yanı sıra fen edebiyat fakülteleri ve diğer bölümlerde ders olarak verilmesi gerektiğine yönelik olumlu görüş bildirmişlerdir. Öğrenciler; öğrenci ürün dosyası değerlendirme yönteminin öğretimine ilişkin olarak öğrenci merkezli, grup etkinliklerine dayalı, değerlendirmenin öğrencilerle birlikte yapıldığı süreçlere dayalı olarak yapılması ve öğretmen eğitiminde zorunlu ders olarak verilmesine yönelik önerilerde bulunmuşlardır.
