Abstract
85 primary supervisors and deputy supervisors’ ideas about their career development in term of self evaluation was elicited by self-deviced questionnaire which was designed in three categories. Statistical analysis was as mean scores, standard deviations,T test and Variance analysis were undertaken. Primary supervisors and deputy supervisors expressed that they have no time for their professional development, disagree with the limitation of age to enter to supervision. They agree that eight years of experience is necessary for starting supervision post. All these ideas were seen as differ according to the sex, the type of the post, experience and education. Some reccomendations were produced based on the results of the research.

Abstract
İlköğretim müfettişlerinin kariyer gelişimlerini kendi değerlendirmelerine göre
belirlemeyi amaçlayan bu çalışmada 85 müfettiş ve müfettiş yardımcısının görüşleri üç
bölümlü olarak düzenlenen anket yardımıyla toplanmış ve aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma
değerleri bulunmuş, T testi, Varyans analizi yapılmıştır. İlköğretim müfettiş ve müfettiş
yardımcılarının profesyonel gelişim için zaman ayıramadıklarına, müfettişlik sınavına
girmede yaş koşulunun kaldırılmasını arzu ettiklerine, müfettişliğe başvurmada sekiz yıldan
fazla öğretmenlik deneyiminin gerekli olduğuna ilişkin görüşlerinin cinsiyet, görev unvanı,
kıdem, öğrenim durumu açısından farklılıklar gösterdiği belirlenmiş ve bulgular
doğrultusunda önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
