ÖZET:
Coğrafya öğretim programları Cumhuriyet tarihi boyunca zaman zaman yenilenmiştir. Yenilenen programlar temelde birbirlerinin benzerdir. Ciddi bir yenilik getirmemiştir. 1950’li yıllarda coğrafya adına ne öğretmiş ve nasıl öğretmişsek çok az bir farkla 21. yy’de de aynı şeyleri, aynı yöntemlerle
öğretiyoruz. Uygulamadaki Lise 1 Coğrafya programı genel fiziki ve Türkiye bölgeler coğrafyasının birleştirilmiş şeklidir. Konu uygunluğu ve verilen 72 saatlik süre açısından gerçekçi bir program değildir. 50 yıl öncesinin programı bundan daha gerçekçi özellikler taşımaktadır.
ABSRACT
The geography education programs have been changed several times since 1923, during the Republic period. The programs were guite a like and did not bring any new perspective to the geography education. At the present, we
are teaching geography similar methods as we used in 1950 s. The Lise (High School) I program which is the combination of the General Physical Geography and The Regional Geography of Turkey. It is not an ideal program because of
intensive content and 72 hours course in one year. As a matter of fact, the programs applied in 1950 s were more realistic compared to the present. Geography education programs have been changed several times since 1923,
