EKOLOJİK RİSKLER, SİGORTA PAZARINA ETKİLERİ VE ÇÖZÜM ÖNERİLERİ

Abstract

Ekolojik riskler, gerçekleşme olasılığının ölçülmesi zor olan risk türlerindendir. Yasal yükümlülüğe konu olan en önemli ekolojik riskler kimyasal ürün üreten fabrika atıkları ve nükleer enerji üreten santrallerin oluşturacağı hasarlardır. Bu tür risklerin çevre ve insan sağlığı üzerine olumsuz etkileri bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada çevreyi tehdit eden ve insan sağlığı üzerinde ciddi tehlikeler oluşturan ekolojik risk faktörleri ele alınarak, bu faktörlerin oluşturduğu hasarları içeren uluslararası anlaşmalar ve bunların taraflar arasındaki yükümlülük paylaşımı konusu incelenmiştir. Sigorta sektörünün bu risklere yaklaşımı ve ekolojik risklerin sigortalanması, sunulan ürünler ve çözüm önerileri de belirtilmiştir. Ekolojik hasarların karmaşıklığı nedeniyle, rizikoların ayrılarak özel olarak eğitilmiş ve yetkin bir sigorta şirketi tarafından değerlendirilmesi kesin bir gereklilik olup çevresel zarar yükümlülüğünü sigortalama konusundaki mevcut işlemlerle birleştirilmelidir.
