Abstract

Hayatımıza girdiği günden bugüne değin internet, her alanda radikal değişimlere sebep olmuştur, internetin diğer iletişim araçlarından farklılaşmasını sağlayan unsurlar, bireylere tanıdığı imkanlarda kendini ortaya koymaktadır. Daha önce hiç bir iletişim teknolojisi, bireyi, kendi ürününü bu kadar kolay ve kısa sürede milyonlarla buluşturmasına, kendi aralarında bu kadar hızlı bilgi akışına, tepkilerini ortak olarak bu kadar güçlü bir şekilde göstermelerine imkan vermemiştir. Bugün, bu imkanları kullanıcıya sağlayan yeni internet unsuru web günlükleridir. Sürekli olarak geliştirilen yazılımlar sayesinde teknik bilgi gerekmeksizin internet üzerinde bir paylaşım, yayın aracı oluşturmak hiç zor değildir. İnternet dünyasının bu yeni yayıncıları, yalnızca kişisel düşüncelerini değil, sahip oldukları haberleri de dünya ile paylaşmaya başlayınca yeni bir tartışma konusu gündeme gelmiştir: Gazeteci-blogger (web günlüğü yazan kişi) tartışması. Bu noktada kurumsal basın web günlüklerini ciddiye almak durumunda kalmıştır. Bazılarına göre web günlükleri kurumsal basının gündem oluşturma gücüne ortak çıkmıştır. Yıllardır diğerlerini mercek altında tutan basın, daha önce hiç alışık olmadığı bir durumla karşı karşıyadır: Kendisi mercek altında tutulan taraf haline gelmiştir.
