Year 2025, Issue: 23, 1 - 24, 30.06.2025

Abstract

Multiculturalism refers to individuals from different cultures living together in a society and taking part in society while preserving their own identities. Multicultural education, on the other hand, focuses on issues such as gender equality, special needs, giftedness and linguistic diversity, and educational activities are carried out in order for students with different cultural backgrounds to benefit from educational opportunities. In this study, which was conducted with a systematic review design, one of the qualitative research methods, the concept of multiculturalism in education was explained, and then this concept was discussed in terms of school administrators, teachers, students and parents. Within the scope of the research, it is aimed to explain the roles of school administrators, teachers, students and parents in multicultural education, to examine the characteristics of multicultural curricula and to provide suggestions on how to improve multicultural education. In addition, the importance of multiculturalism in education and how this approach can be made more effective are discussed in the context of critical pedagogy. This study can be a guide for the development and implementation of multicultural approaches in education.

OKUL PAYDAŞLARI BAĞLAMINDA EĞİTİMDE ÇOK KÜLTÜRLÜLÜK

Year 2025, Issue: 23, 1 - 24, 30.06.2025
