A STUDY ON EDUCATION OF FURNITURE DECORATION IN ÇANAKKALE VOCATIONAL COLLEGE

Abstract

Department of furniture education in vocational high schools includes both small and large-scale furniture industry need that material types and properties, technology used, produce design, practical and theoretical information of product design, the education of qualified manpower, the top cover the preparation of education and life. This study in Çanakkale vocational high school, case determination is made for the training of furniture decoration. Problems were identified. It has proposed solutions for the problems. If these recommendations are practiced, furniture and decoration education will be more quality, efficient and effective than it is now. Çanakkale Vocational High School Furniture Design Program in Education; entrance exam based on the program if the program is increased as a numerical quantity of courses, curriculum programs, frequently changing, rearranging, physical conditions, making the technology suitable to current conditions (CNC Machines are provided), upgraded the qualifications of teaching staff, school -industry cooperation is established, enough is learned profession, the profession to adopt the title branding occurs and the program, not the weakest link in the chain of educational achievement can be ensured. As a result, Carlyle' says, "The test is the best teacher, only school costs are heavier.” according to the saying, in department of furniture decoration in Çanakkale vocational High school trial and test method should be given up, using the scientific method, knowledge, skills , behaviors and technology, optimized integrated, practical approach, carried out-cooperative specialization

ÇANAKKALE MESLEK YÜKSEKOKULU’NDA MOBİLYA DEKORASYON EĞİTİMİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Öz

Meslek yüksekokullarındaki mobilya dekorasyon eğitimi; küçük ve büyük ölçekli mobilya sektörünün ihtiyaç duyduğu malzeme türlerini ve özelliklerini, kullandığı teknolojiyi, ürün tasarımına ilişkin teorik ve pratik bilgilerin verildiği, nitelikli ara insangücünün yetiştirilmesini, üst öğretime ve hayata hazırlanmasını kapsar. Araştırmada Çanakkale Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda (ÇMYO’da) Mobilya-Dekorasyon (Mob-Dek) Eğitimi ile ilgili durum saptaması yapılmış, sorunlar belirlenmiş ve sorunlara yönelik çözüm önerileri getirilmiştir. Meslek Yüksekokullarında bu öneriler uygulamaya geçirildiği takdirde, Mobilya-Dekorasyon eğitimi daha verimli, etkili, nitelikli ve kaliteli olacaktır. Çanakkale Meslek Yüksekokulu Mobilya-Dekorasyon Programı’ndaki eğitimde; programa giriş sınava dayalı olursa, programdaki sayısal dersler nicelik olarak artırılırsa, müfredat programları sık sık değiştirilmezse, fiziksel koşullar düzenlenirse, kullanılan teknoloji günün koşullarına uygun hale getirilirse (CNC makineler sağlanırsa), öğretim elemanlarının nitelikleri yükseltilirse, okul-sanayi işbirliği kurulursa, meslek yeterince öğrenilirse, mesleği benimseme gerçekleşirse ve programdan alınan unvan markalaşırsa, eğitim zincirinde zayıf halka kalmaz ve başarının parçası olunur. Sonuç olarak; Carlyle’nin dediği gibi “Deney, öğretmenlerin en iyisidir, yalnız okul masrafı ağırdır”(www.sozler.info) özsözünden yola çıkarak ÇMYO Mob-Dek Programı’ndaki eğitimde; deneme-sınama yönteminden vazgeçilip bilimsel yöntemler kullanılarak, bilgi, beceri, davranış ve teknolojiyle bütünleşik hale getirilerek uygulamalı-işbirlikli uzmanlaşma yaklaşımı gerçekleştirilmelidir
