Abstract
It is an unquestionable fact that language plays an important role in human life. Beside to use the mother tongue fluently, to learn a foreign language provides the learners with advantages such as education, finding a job, self-expressing and going abroad. This study aims to identify the affective approaches, in terms of demographic aspects, of the students that take tourism based education in Tourism Faculty and Pınarhisar Vocational Colleges of Kırklareli University. The work place of the search consists of the students that take tourism based education. The total number of these students is 356. 110 students take education in Tourism Faculty and 246 students take education in Pınarhisar Vocational. As a sample; the students whose attendance is compulsory have been chosen and the number of these students is 314. It is possible to explain the results of the search as follows 1). In English courses; lady students demonstrate much more affective approaches than the boy students 2) The students that graduated from Anatolian High schools have a high level of affective approach compared to the students from Private and General High Schools
ÜNİVERSİTE DÜZEYİNDE TURİZM EĞİTİMİ ALAN ÖĞRENCİLERİN İNGİLİZCE DERSLERİNE YÖNELİK DUYUŞSAL YAKLAŞIMLARININ DEMOGRAFİK ÖZELLİKLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ
Abstract
Dilin insan hayatındaki yeri ve önemi tartışılmaz bir gerçektir. Günümüzde anadilini güzel bir şekilde kullanmanın yanı sıra bir yabancı dili öğrenmek iş bulma, eğitim, kendini daha iyi ifade edebilme ve öğrendiği yabancı dilin kullanıldığı ülkeye gitme gibi birçok avantajı da beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Kırklareli Üniversitesinin turizm eğitimi verilen iki biriminde (Turizm Fakültesi ve Pınarhisar Meslek Yüksekokulu) eğitim gören turizm öğrencilerinin İngilizce derslerine karşı duyuşsal yaklaşımlarını demografik özellikler açısından belirlemektir. Araştırmanın evreni; turizm eğitimi gören öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Bu öğrencilerin toplam sayısı 356’dır. 110 öğrenci Turizm Fakültesinde ve 246 öğrenci Pınarhisar Meslek Yüksekokulunda eğitim görmektedir. Örneklem olarak ise; devamlılık zorunluluğu bulunan öğrenciler belirlenmiştir ve bu öğrencilerin sayısı 314’tür. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen sonuçlardan bir kaçını şu şekilde sıralamak mümkündür. 1)İngilizce derslerinde; bayan öğrenciler erkek öğrencilere oranla daha fazla duyuşsal yaklaşım göstermektedirler. 2)Genel ve Özel Lise mezunu öğrencilere oranla Anadolu Lisesi mezunu öğrencilerin duyuşsal yaklaşım düzeyleri daha yüksektir
