Abstract

With our increasing number of universities and departments in the fields of social sciences, many graduates join the business life every year. However, on various platforms, business people and human resources managers express their opinions that they face problems in finding personnel suitable for the required qualifications and that their knowledge and competencies are not sufficient. In this context, the Internship Entrance Exam, which is the first step of the process of becoming a Certified Public Accountant, carried out by TÜRMOB, is seen as an important tool in measuring the knowledge of undergraduates in this field. The aim of this study is to make an analytical evaluation of the success scores of the graduates in the said exams, to determine the status of undergraduate education and to make suggestions. The results of the analysis made on the exam results in 2021, taken as an example, reveal the necessity of reviewing undergraduate education in accordance with today’s conditions and the expectations of the business world.

STAJA GİRİŞ SINAVI SONUÇLARI IŞIĞINDA MALİ MÜŞAVİRLİK MESLEĞİNE YÖNELİK YÜKSEKÖĞRETİM PROGRAMLARI ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLEME

Abstract

Sayıları artan üniversitelerimiz ve sosyal bilimler alanlarındaki bölümlerimiz ile iş hayatına her yıl çok sayıda mezun katılmaktadır. Ancak çeşitli platformlarda iş insanları ve insan kaynakları yöneticileri, aranan niteliklere uygun personel bulmada sorunlarla karşılaştıkları ve bilgi ve yetkinliklerin yeterli olmadığı şeklinde görüşlerini dile getirmektedirler. Bu bağlamda TÜRMOB’un yürütmekte olduğu Serbest Muhasebeci Mali Müşavir olma sürecinin ilk adımı olan Staja Giriş Sınavı, lisans mezunlarının bu alandaki bilgilerini ölçmede önemli bir araç olarak görülmektedir. Yılda üç kez yapılan sınavlara 3568 sayılı Kanuna uygun bölümlerden her dönem en az 17 bin mezun katılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, söz konusu sınavlarda mezunların başarı puanlarının analitik bir değerlemesini yaparak lisans öğrenimine ilişkin durum saptaması yapmak ve önerilerde bulunmaktır. Örnek olarak alınan 2021 yılında yapılan sınav sonuçları üzerinden elde edilen analiz sonuçları, lisans öğreniminin, günümüz koşullarına ve iş dünyasının beklentilerine uygun şekilde gözden geçirilmesi gerekliliğini ortaya koymaktadır.
