YETİŞKİN EĞİTİMİNDE BİR KAVRAM ÜÇ KURAM: ÖZ-YÖNLENDİRMELİ ÖĞRENME

Abstract

Öz yönlendirmeli öğrenme kavramı yetişkin eğitimi alanının en çok kullanılan ve üzerinde durulmuş kavramlarından biridir. Her ne kadar bir kuram olsa da yetişkin öğrenmesini açıklarken kullanılan şemsiye bir kavramdır. Bu yüzden öz yönlendirmeli öğrenmeyi tek bir kuram olmaktan ziyade yetişkin öğrenmesinin doğasını inceleyen ve açıklamaya çalışan birden fazla kuram ve yaklaşımın odağı bir kavram olarak algılamak daha uygun düşecektir. Bu yazıda öz yönlendirmeli öğrenme kavramı üzerinde farklı yaklaşım ve kuramları olan üç yetişkin eğitimcisine yer verildi. Malcolm Knowles, Allen Tough ve Gerald Grow tarafından öz yönlendirme kavramının nasıl ele alındığı özetlenerek ileri sürdükleri yaklaşımlar ve kuram kritik edildi.
