Medialog TR is a peer-reviewed, scientific, open-access journal dedicated to promoting the production of original academic knowledge in communication sciences and related disciplines, as well as disseminating this knowledge. The journal features high-quality studies spanning a broad spectrum—from traditional media studies to the dynamic fields of digital communication—that demonstrate theoretical depth, methodological rigor, and relevance to current social contexts.
Published twice a year (in June and December), the journal advocates for the unrestricted circulation of knowledge through its open access policy. The journal’s primary target audience consists of academics, researchers, graduate students, professionals in related fields, and policymakers in the field of communication sciences.
Medialog TR is open to all subdisciplines of communication studies, including primarily journalism, public relations, advertising, radio-television, film, and new media studies. In addition, the journal particularly supports interdisciplinary research produced at the intersection of communication with fields such as sociology, political science, psychology, cultural studies, marketing, and digital humanities. Digital transformation, media literacy, gender and media, political communication, consumer behavior, visual culture, and platform studies are among the current themes prioritized by the journal.
The journal publishes research articles, comprehensive review articles, book reviews, interviews, and critical evaluations of selected audiovisual works. In accordance with its publication policy, submitted articles must contain original scientific contributions and be written in either Turkish or English. In this regard, a double-blind peer review process is conducted, and adherence to international publication ethics standards (COPE) is maintained.
