Aim & Scope

MEMBA: Advancing Marine Science through Ecology, Modeling, Biodiversity, and Aquaculture: Journal of Water Sciences is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Kastamonu University. The journal is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge in aquatic sciences and water resources by publishing high-quality fundamental and applied research.

MEMBA aims to:

Promote interdisciplinary research that enhances understanding of aquatic systems

Provide a global platform for scientists, professionals, and policymakers working on water-related issues

Support the development of sustainable solutions for the conservation and management of aquatic environments

Encourage the integration of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence and numerical modeling into aquatic research

Strengthen communication between ecological, biological, technological, and environmental disciplines related to water sciences

The journal follows a continuous publication model, publishes in English, and applies a double-blind peer review process in accordance with international publication ethics. MEMBA seeks to reach a first decision within 60 working days of submission.

All articles are published under an Open Access model, ensuring free and immediate availability to readers worldwide.

Founded in 2013 as the "Menba Kastamonu University Faculty of Fisheries Journal," our journal continues to be published as the "MEMBA Journal of Water Sciences."
