Islam and Interpretation VIII (Religion and Life in Turkey on the 100th Anniversary of the Republic)

The 7th Islam and Interpretation Symposium, organized annually by the Faculty of Theology at İnönü University, took place on October 26, 2023, at İnönü University Congress and Culture Center. The theme for this year was "Religion and Life in the 100th Year of the Republic." The symposium commenced with a conference by Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, the head of the Directorate of Religious Affairs, and an opening speech by İnönü University's rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay. Following protocol speeches, the symposium continued with a panel moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kubat, featuring presentations by Prof. Dr. Yasin Aktay, Prof. Dr. Recep Kaymakcan, and Dr. Necdet Subaşı. The event continued online on Friday and Saturday with eight sessions, divided into groups A-B-C, totaling twenty-four sessions. Over a hundred scholars from both domestic and international locations participated in the symposium, presenting papers under various themes such as "Religion, Life, and Human," "Religion, Life and Society", "Religion, Life and Politics", "Religion, Life and Law", "Religion, Life and Education". , “Religion, Life and Art”, “Religion, Life and Security”, “Religion, Life and Human Rights”, “Religion, Life and Religious Groups”, “Religion, Life and Religious Minorities”, “Religion and Life in Islamic Geography” ”, “Religion and Life in Today's World”, “The Future of Religion in Individual and Social Life”. According to the organizing committee, these presented papers will be published in a book.

İnönü Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi tarafından her yıl düzenlenen ve bir gelenek haline gelen İslâm ve Yorum Sempozyum VII.’si “Cumhuriyetin 100. Yılında Din ve Hayat” teması ile 26 Ekim 2023 tarihinde İnönü Üniversitesi Kongre ve Kültür Merkezinde yapıldı. Sempozyum Diyanet İşleri Başkanı Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş’ın konferansı ve İnönü Üniversite rektörü Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay’ın açılış konuşması ile başladı. Protokol konuşmalarından sonra sempozyum bir panel ile devam etti. Moderatörlüğü İlahiyat Fakültesi Dekanı Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kubat tarafından yürütülen panelde Prof. Dr. Yasin Aktay, Prof. Dr. Recep Kaymakcan ve Dr. Nec-det Subaşı panelist olarak birer sunum yaptı. Açılış konuşmalarından ve icra edilen panelden sonra sempozyum cuma günü dört, cumartesi günü dört olmak üzere sekiz oturum şeklinde online olarak devam etti. Her bir oturum A-B-C şeklinde gruplara ayrıldı ve toplamda yirmi dört oturum olarak gerçekleştirilmiş oldu. Sempozyuma yurt içinden ve dışından iştirak eden yüzden fazla bilim insanı tarafından “Din, Hayat ve İnsan”, “Din, Hayat ve Toplum”, “Din, Hayat ve Siyaset”, “Din, Hayat ve Hukuk”, “Din, Hayat ve Eğitim”, “Din, Hayat ve Sanat”, “Din, Hayat ve Güvenlik”, “Din, Hayat ve İnsan Hakları”, “Din, Hayat ve Dini Gruplar”, “Din, Hayat ve Dinî Azınlıklar”, “İslam Coğrafyasında Din ve Hayat”, “Günümüz Dünyasında Din ve Hayat”, “Bireysel ve Toplumsal Hayatta Dinin Geleceği” başlıkları altında bildiriler sunuldu. Sempozyum düzenleme kurulunun verdiği bilgiye göre takdim edilen bu bildiriler bir kitap halinde yayınlanacak ve ilim camiasının istifadesine arz edilecektir.
