Submission Guidelines
Articles submitted to our journal must be prepared in accordance with the following submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be rejected during the preliminary review stage.
1. General Formatting Guidelines
Word Count: Minimum 4,000, maximum 10,000 words (including abstract and references)
Font: Times New Roman
Font Size: 12 pt (main text); 10 pt (footnotes and table contents)
Line Spacing: 1.5 line spacing
Margins: Top, bottom, left, and right: 2.5 cm
Paragraph Indentation: First line: 1.25 cm
Paper Size: A4
File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx)
2. Article Structure
Articles must be formatted according to the template provided via the link below.
Articles must include the following sections in the order listed:
2.1. Article Title, Turkish Abstract, and Keywords
• Title in Turkish
• Abstract in Turkish (150–200 words)
• 3–5 keywords (in alphabetical order, separated by commas)
2.2. English Abstract and Keywords
• Title in English
• Abstract in English (150–200 words)
• 3–5 keywords (in alphabetical order, separated by commas)
2.3. Main Text
• Introduction
• Theoretical/Conceptual Framework (Literature Review / Theoretical Framework)
• Methodology — depending on the type of research
• Findings (Findings / Results)
• Discussion
• Conclusion and Recommendations
2.4. References
References must be formatted according to the APA 7th edition (American Psychological Association) style. The reference list should include only those works cited in the text.
2.5. Extended Abstract
For articles in Turkish, an Extended Abstract must be included after the References. This section should contain an English abstract of 750–1,000 words summarizing the study’s theoretical framework and findings; subheadings should not be used in the abstract.
3. Citations and References (APA 7)
In-text citations and the References section must follow the APA 7th edition. Basic examples:
In-Text Citation
• Single author: (Author, Year) → (Kaya, 2022)
• Two authors: (Author and Author, Year) → (Kaya and Arslan, 2021)
• Three or more authors: (Author et al., Year) → (Kaya et al., 2020)
• Direct quotation: (Author, Year, p. X) → (Kaya, 2022, p. 45)
Reference Examples
Book: Author, A. A. (Year). Book Title. Publisher.
Journal article: Author, A. A. and Author, B. B. (Year). Article Title. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), page range. DOI
Online source: Author, A. A. (Year, Day Month). Title. Website name. URL
Thesis: Author, A. A. (Year). Thesis title [Doctoral thesis/Master’s thesis, University name]. Database name.
4. Tables and Figures
• Tables and figures should be placed in the text at the relevant locations.
• Table titles should be placed above the table, while figure and graph titles should be placed below.
• Tables should be numbered (Table 1, Table 2...) and include a short, descriptive title.
• Figures and graphs should be numbered (Figure 1, Figure 2...) and the source should be cited.
• Tables and figures should be legible in black and white within the text.
• A 10-point font may be used for table content.
