Female poets are encountered in every period of classical Turkish poetry. The number of female poets has increased even more in 19th century. Leylâ Hanım, Şeref Hanım, Sırrî Hanım, Nakıyye Hanım, Âdile Sultan, Ayşe İsmet Hanım, Ferîde Hanım, Çeşm-i Âfet Hanım are some of these poets. They are added to the existing chain of tradition and created a space that is unique to them. Female poets have included both the previous and contemporary women poets in their works (‘divan’s). These poets will be the subject of this article in the intertextual dimension. Intertextuality is one of the methods of literary criticism. It covers the exchange between two or more texts. This intertextual exchange becomes open or closed. Texts (parts, words, etc.) that a writer/poet gets from another writer/poet for a certain purpose are reproduced every time in a new time and space with semantic or formal transformations. ‘Telmih’, ‘Tazmin’, ‘Musammat’ and ‘Nazire’s are smilar to the concept of intertextuality. In this respect there are many studies on intertextual relations in Divan Poetry. This article will show the intertextual relations between female poets in the 19th century Classical Poetry. While the sampling area was being created, eight female poets were reached. It was determined that six of them gave materials related to the subject. The intertextual exchange between female poets takes place through ‘telmih’, ‘nazire’, ‘tahmis’, ‘müstezad’ via ‘reference’, ‘citation’, ‘re-writing’, ‘paratextualite’, ‘architextualite’. These elements are arranged sometimes one by one and sometimes a few together. Selected poems carry clear traces of intertextuality among female poets in classical literature of the period.
