İstanbul’daki Tarihi ve Kültürel Miras ile İşyerlerinin Mekânsal İlişkisi: Coğrafi Dağılım ve Yönelim Analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada İstanbul örneği üzerinden tarihi-kültürel miras, işyerleri ve konaklama tesislerinin dağılımı incelenmiş, ortalama merkez ve standart sapma elipsi ile mekânsal desenleri tespit edilmiştir. Analiz ilçe ölçeğinde gerçekleştirilmiş olup üç analiz biriminin yönelim, yoğunluk ve yayılımları belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre turizmin işyerlerinin mekânsal dağılışında etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Erişilebilirlik diğer önemli başlıktır. İşyerleri dışında ayrıca değerlendirilen konaklama tesislerinin dağılımı ve yayılımında ticari faaliyetler ve ulaşım imkânlarının etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tüm analiz birimlerinin standart sapma elipsleri genel hatları ile doğu-batı yönlüdür. Bunda araştırma sahasının kentsel gelişimi etkilidir. İstanbul Boğazı yakınında yer alan ortalama merkez ve standart sapma elipsleri Marmara ve Karadeniz kıyıları boyunca da mevcuttur. Çeperlerdeki bu dağılım turizm baskısını hafifleten kıyı ile bağlantılı aktivitelerin mevcudiyetine işaret etmektedir.

Spatial Interactions Between Historical-Cultural Heritage and Workplaces in Istanbul: A Geographical Analysis of Distribution and Directionality

Abstract

This study investigates the spatial distribution of historical and cultural heritage sites, workplaces, and accommodation facilities through the case of Istanbul. Spatial patterns were identified using mean center and standard deviation ellipse methods. The analysis was conducted at the district scale, and the orientation, density, and dispersion of the three analytical units were determined. The findings reveal that tourism plays a significant role in shaping the spatial distribution of workplaces. Accessibility emerges as another critical factor. In the case of accommodation facilities, which were evaluated separately from workplaces, commercial activities and transportation opportunities were found to be influential in their distribution and dispersion. The standard deviation ellipses of all analytical units generally exhibit an east–west orientation, which reflects the urban development pattern of the study area. The mean centers and ellipses, located near the Bosphorus, also extend along the coasts of the Marmara and Black Seas. This peripheral distribution indicates the presence of coastal-related activities that serve to mitigate tourism pressure on central areas.
