THEORY OF LANGUAGE - THOUGHT ANALYSIS IN TEACHING TURKISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Abstract
Language is a field which thought comes into prominence the most concretely.
Thought are defined and narrated by being put into language structures, sentences
and words. So, a sentence is defined in the way of thought or thought structure.
The concepts represented in sentences are subjected to be classified in only
sentences. One, who thinks practically and well, makes a good sentence.
Therefore; it should be necessary to teach how to think well. In a regular thought
and regular sentence, persons and subjects are thought firstly; but in application,
persons and subjects are said last.
There is a close relationship between the languages of nations and their world
viewpoints. A language gives another property, different thought, behave and
different characteristic way of living to a society. In this way, the world
viewpoints of societies and the values that societies give to their humans differ
from one another.
The base of thought system determining the way of living of Turkish nation has
been founded over movement. Turkish thought system determines its own
method. The method corresponding with this system is a deductive method.
This theory is based on teaching language deductively from deductive method
point of view that the constructivist approach, one of the most prevailing
approaches in teaching language, defends.
