Abstract

In this article first of all mention of kyrgyzs ethnonym is analyzed. Famous scientists-sinologists pointed that the term which is registered in the form “Gegun” is the Kyrgyz ethnonym. But, scientists do not arrive at a common opinion about the time of mention of Kyrgyzs and they place of their inhabitance. As the subject of investigation of the history of mention of Kyrgyz ethnonym is considered, made an emphasis on ethno-cultural situation in Central Asia’s nomad steppe
