ON THE POSITIVE CHARACHTERS OF KYRGYZ LITERATURE

Abstract

In 1934 during the Writers Council of Soviets Union, some significant decisions that eventually have become cornerstones in Kyrgyz Literature, were made. As a result of the decisions in question a new concept called “positive character” was introduced to literature. This article mainly focuses on the concept of positive characters along with analyzing the historical changes that they had gone through to reveal the role that they got to play in the overall literary progress. The purpose that the positive charachters serve to and the fact that the revolutionary romanticism had closely been engaged with the positive characters give us clear hints about how Sovietic literature in general and Kyrgz Literature in specific should be grasped. It also reveals us that especially the understanding of systemic literatures that are controlled by a single center help attribute a greater role to literature itself in terms of sociological researches.Besides, the role the positive characters played in the positive collective memory that the Soviets Unions was trying to create also outstands as an important title in the article
