A STUDY OF THE OWNERSHIP SENSE OF BANKING SECTOR EMPLOYEES IN AZERBAIJAN

Abstract

One of the factors that influence employees’ motivation and his/her success in the company is psychological ownership. This feeling also influences the relationship between company and employees at a significant level. Employees' attitudes and feelings about company affect sustainability and competitiveness of the business. The aim of this study is to measure the ownership sense of employees in the banking sector of Azerbaijan. For this purpose, the sense of psychological ownership is theoretically examined and the ownership sense of the employees is measured by using the "Psychological Ownership" scale. The data related to the study were collected by questionnaire method. The questionnaire was distributed to bank employees by email and by hand through convenience sampling. The findings of the study reveal that there is a feeling of psychological ownership for banking sector employees (3.52 out of 5). In addition, employees who have a sense of ownership think that other employees share this feeling. The sense of ownership did not differ in terms of employee gender, age, seniority, education and marital status

Azerbaycan’da Bankacılık Sektörü Çalışanlarının Sahiplik Duygusu Analizine Yönelik Bir Çalışma

Abstract

İşletmelerde çalışanların motivasyonuna, başarısına genellikle pozitif yönde etki eden unsurlardan biri de psikolojik sahiplenmedir. Bu duygu, işletmeyle çalışan arasındaki ilişkileri de önemli boyutta etkilemektedir. Çalışanların tutumu ve işletmeyle ilgili duyguları, işletmelerin rekabete devamlı olmasına ve sürdürülebilirliğine etki etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Azerbaycan bankacılık sektöründe çalışanların sahiplik duygusunu ölçmektir. Bu çerçevede, psikolojik sahiplenme duygusu teorik boyutlarıyla incelenmiş ve “Psikolojik Sahiplenme” ölçeği kullanılarak çalışanların sahiplik duygusu ölçülmüştür. Çalışmayla ilgili veriler anket yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Anket, banka çalışanlarına kolayda örnekleme metoduyla e-posta ile ve elden dağıtılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, bankacılık sektörü çalışanlarında psikolojik sahiplenme duygusunun varlığını ortaya koymuştur (5 üzerinden 3.52). Ayrıca, sahiplenme duygusu olan çalışanlar, diğer çalışanların da bu duyguyu paylaştığını düşünmektedirler. Sahiplenme duygusu çalışanın cinsiyeti, yaşı, kıdemi, eğitimi ve medeni durumları açısından farklılık göstermemiştir
