EDUCATION SYSTEM OF FINLAND AND ITS SUCCESS AT THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL

Abstract

Finnish people who had been dependent on foreign countries for a long time developed their studying skill formed up to now. They made embodied reforms in the domain of education in spite of the fact that there were a lot of different ethnic groups in their country. Finnish students / schoolchildren have won prizes in mathematics, natural sciences and reading skills in the international exams such as PISA, PIRLS and TIMSS the last years. High-level indicators of the country in 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009 and 2012 years are attracting attention of the world, especially other OESD countries winning prizes, too. A great number of researchers are coming to the country in order to study the Finnish educational system
