THE EFFECTS OF R & D ACTIVITIES ON REGIONAL ECONOMIC GROWTH: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON NUTS I REGIONS OF TURKEY Abstract

Year 2018, Volume: 7 Issue: 2, 143 - 154, 01.04.2018

Abstract

One of the most important determinants of increasing competition in today's information society is R & D activities. There are many studies examining the effects of R & D activities on economic growth. These studies are concentrated on country comparisons and single country data. In this study, R & D expenditures, one of the determinants of regional economic growth, and the effects of R & D employment on regional economic growth were examined by Panel Data Analysis. The review was based on the 2010-2014 data from Level I statistical regions in Turkey. The impact of R & D expenditures and R & D employment on regional economic growth has been found to be positive and statistically significant

Bölgesel Ekonomik Büyüme Üzerinde Ar-Ge Faaliyetlerinin Etkileri: Türkiye’de Düzey I Bölgelerinde Ampirik Bir İnceleme

Year 2018, Volume: 7 Issue: 2, 143 - 154, 01.04.2018
