The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of broken windows theory on whistleblowing behavior. No study has been found in the literature investigating the relationship between the two concepts. It is thought that the research will contribute to the literature in this respect. This descriptive study was carried out on the administrative and academic staff of Yozgat Bozok University in 2021. Simple random sampling method was chosen in the study, and a questionnaire was applied to 405 people who agreed to participate in the study. Organizational Broken Windows Scale and Whistleblowing Scale were used as data collection tools. The scale, which was developed by Bektaş et al. (2019) and tries to determine this behavior in organizations, has two dimensions, individual and managerial, and 13 questions. The Whistleblowing Scale, developed by Celep and Konaklı (2012), consists of 4 dimensions, including internal, external, supportive and confidential, and 16 questions. The analysis of the data obtained from the research was made with the SPSS 22.00 package program. According to the findings obtained from the research, it was concluded that the organizational broken windows theory had an effect on the whistleblowing behavior. In addition, it was determined that there were significant relationships between socio-demographic variables and scale scores.
