Abstract
Madarozis is defined as a decrease or total loss of eye lashes. Eye lashes are natural barrier of eye for protection from sun, foreign materials, wind and sweat. Madarosis can develop from genetic, aging, chemotheraphy and unknown reasons. The saprophyte parasite demodex is shown to be reason of madarosis. In this case report we discussed 85 year old patient who was referred with a diagnosis of madarosis and did not response to alternative treatment methods treated with topical bimatoprost 0.03%

Abstract
Madarozis kirpiklerin sayıca azalması yada tamamen yok olmasıdır. Kirpikler güneş, yabancı cisim, rüzgar ve terden gözün korunması için gerekli doğal bir bariyerdir. Madarosis genetik, yaşlılık, kemoterapi ve bilinmeyen nedenlerden gelişebilir. Demodex isimli saprofit parazitin madarozisin bir nedeni olduğu gösterilmiştir. Bu olgu sunumunda 85 yaşında madarozis tanısı ile refere edilen ve diğer alternatif tedavi metodlarına cevap vermeyen hastanın topical bimatoprost 0.03% ile tedavi edilmesi tartışıldı.
