Ergenlerin Öz-Yeterliklerinin Ve Psikolojik Semptomlarının İncelenmesi/Adolescents' Self-Efficacy And Psychological Symptoms' Investigation

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ergenlerin öz-yeterliklerinin demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını ve ergenlerin öz-yeterlikleri ile psikolojik semptomları arasındaki ilişkileri incelemektir. Bu araştırma betimsel, ilişkisel ve nedensel karşılaştırma yöntemlerine dayanmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi 1250 katılımcıdan oluşmaktadır. Katılımcıların %52,40'ı kız (n= 655) %47,60'ı erkek (n= 595) öğrencidir. Araştırma verileri Çocuklar İçin Öz-yeterlik Ölçeği ve Kısa Semptom Envanteri ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerin analizinde t-test, Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi ve Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Analizi yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda öz-yeterliğin cinsiyete, yaşa, okul başarısına göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği saptanmıştır. Ayrıca, ergenlerin akademik, sosyal, duygusal ve genel öz-yeterlikleri ile depresyon, anksiyete, olumsuz benlik algısı, somatizasyon ve hostilite arasında negatif yönde anlamlı ilişkiler saptanmıştır

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine whether the self-efficacy of adolescents differs according to demographic variables and the relationship between self-efficacy of adolescents and psychological symptoms. This study is based on descriptive, relational, causal-comparative methods. The study group of the research consists of 1250 participants, 52,40 % of the participants are female students and 47,60 % of them are male students.The data of this research were collected with Self-Efficacy Questionnaire for Children, Short Symptom Inventory. The data were analyzed by using Independent Samples t-test, One Way Variance Analysis and Pearson Correlation Analysis. At the end of the study, academic, social, emotional and general self-efficacy, some statistically meaningful differences were determined according to the adolescents' gender, age, school success. Besides, some meaningful relationships in a negative way were determined between the adolescents' academic, social, emotional, general self-efficacy and depression, anxiety, negative self perception, somatization and hostility.
