ASYMPTOMATIC BILATERAL PNEUMOTHORAX

Abstract

Asymptomatic bilateral pneumothorax is a rather rare case in the literature. The patient was admitted to intensive care unit for multiple trauma and after three days insertion of central venous catheter, respiratory distress occured, blood gas values deteriorated .Chest radiography confirmed bilateral pneumothorax. Subclavian venous catheterization in patients who underwent daily chest radiographs in the early diagnosis of this complication is very important to control. Mainly pneumothorax was detected tube thoracostomy should be emptied out through the intrapleural air immediately.

ASEMPTOMATİK BİLATERAL PNOMOTORAKS

Abstract

Asemptomatik bilateral pnömotoraks literatürde sık rastlanan bir olgu değildir. Yoğun bakım ünitesinde multıpl travma nedeniyle takip edilen olguda santral venöz kateter takılmasından üç gün sonra solunum sıkıntısının ortaya çıkması, kan gazı değerlerinin kötüleşmesi, nedeniyle çekilen PA akciğer grafisinde bilateral pnömotoraks saptandı. Subklavian venöz kateterizasyon yapılan olguların günlük akciğer grafileriyle kontrolü bu komplikasyonun erken tanısında çok önemlidir. Pnömotoraks tespit edildiğinde esas olan acil olarak tüp torakostomi yoluyla intraplevral havanın dışarı boşaltılması gerekir.
