ONCOCYTIC CYST OF THE LARYNX: A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Oncocytic laryngeal cyst is a rare pathology, usually of a cystic character. We report a case of oncocytic cyst of the larynx. It is occuring chiefly at persons after 60 years. The histopathology of these lesions is characterized by proliferation of oncocytic cells. Complete remove this pathology is the treatment of choice, although incomplete excision may be associated with recurrence. Follow up is recommended.

LARİNKS YERLEŞİMLİ ONKOSİTİK KİST: OLGU SUNUMU

Abstract

Larinksin onkositik kisti, genellikle kistik karekterde olan ve az görülen bir patolojidir. Larinkste onkositik kisti olan bir olguyu sunuyoruz. Bu kistler genellikle 60 yaşından büyük kişilerde görülmektedir. Bu lezyonların histopatolojileri onkositik hücre proliferasyonu ile belirlidir. Lezyonun tedavisi cerrahi olarak tümüyle çıkarmaktır. Tam olmayan eksizyonlarda nüks görülebilir. Lezyonun tümüyle çıkarılması sağlamasına karşın tam olmayan eksizyonlarda nüks görülebilir. Bu yüzden olgunun izlenimi önemlidir.
