Right undescended testis identified by scintigraphy: An interesting image

Abstract

A 41-year-old male patient presented with right inguinal pain. On urological examination, the right testis could not be localized within the scrotum. Ultrasound imaging was subsequently performed but also failed to identify the testis in the inguinal region. The patient was then referred for testicular scintigraphy, which revealed an undescended testis within the right inguinal canal. Following this finding, the patient underwent right orchiectomy and the undescended testis was successfully excised. This report presents the scintigraphic imaging findings of this rare case of adult undescended testis.
