Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

YYU Mozaika Journal of Language, Literature, Culture, and Translation adheres to national and international standards of research and publication ethics. It complies with the Press Law, the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works, and the “Directive on Scientific Research and Publication Ethics” issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Turkey.

The publication processes implemented by the editorial boards of the journal are based on the principle of sharing knowledge in an impartial and transparent manner. Peer-reviewed studies represent and support the application of scientific methodology. The journal maintains a firm stance against plagiarism and predatory publishing practices. Therefore, authors who wish to submit their work to the journal are expected to ensure that their submissions are original, research-based and that they contribute to current debates and research in the academia while complying with the journal’s editorial and publication guidelines. Authors must also declare that they have read and accepted the journal’s editorial principles and must take into account the Directive on Scientific Research and Publication Ethics published by the Council of Higher Education.

The journal places particular importance on ensuring that reviewers fulfil their responsibility to enhance academic quality during the evaluation of submitted manuscripts. To achieve this end, submissions selected for review are assigned to reviewers whose expertise and academic experience align with the subject matter of the work. Reviewers are expected to assess manuscripts in accordance with academic criteria, to provide objective reports, and to complete their evaluations within the given timeframe.

Editors are responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the academic publication process. They are expected to accept and conduct preliminary evaluations of submissions that contribute to the journal’s scope and to reject those that do not meet the specified criteria. Furthermore, editors are primarily responsible for maintaining mutual confidentiality between researchers and reviewers, preventing possible instances of plagiarism, and upholding academic and ethical standards throughout all stages of the journal’s operations.
