COVID -19 PANDEMIC AND QUARANTINE PROCESS ON CHILD MENTAL HEALTH

Abstract

The first Covid-19 cases were seen in December 2019. By March 2020, Covid -19 spreads to many European countries and the continent of America, including our country. As a result of the preventions for pandemics taken by the government, the daily life of many individuals has changed significantly. The pandemic, itself, and changes in daily life are thought to significantly affect the mental health of individuals. In this study, our aim is to review the effects of Covid -19 pandemic and quarantine process on child mental health in the light of publications published in current literature.

COVİD-19 PANDEMİSİ VE KARANTİNA SÜRECİNDE ÇOCUK RUH SAĞLIĞI

Abstract

İlk Covid-19 vakaları 2019 yılı Aralık ayında görüldü. İlk vakanın görülmesinden 2020 yılı Mart ayına gelindiğinde ülkemiz de dahil olmak üzere birçok Avrupa ülkesi ve Amerika kıtasına yayıldı. Pandemi ile mücadele kapsamında yönetimler tarafından alınan önlemler sonucunda birçok bireyin günlük yaşantısı önemli ölçüde değişikliğe uğradı. Pandeminin kendisi ve günlük yaşamdaki değişikliklerin bireylerin ruhsal sağlığını önemli ölçüde etkilediği düşünülmekte. Bu çalışmada amacımız Covid-19 pandemisinin ve karantina sürecinin çocuk ruh sağlığına etkilerini güncel literatürde yayınlanmış yayınlar eşliğinde değerlendirmektir
