Marine Science and Environmental Research (Mar. Sci. Environ. Res.) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal established by the Marine Sciences Application and Research Center (MarineS-ARC) of Mersin University. The journal provides a platform for the publication of original research articles, review articles, and short communications addressing contemporary questions and developments in marine, coastal, and environmental sciences.
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The journal publishes two issues annually and supports early publication, allowing accepted articles to be made available online prior to their assignment to a regular issue. No submission, processing, or publication fees are charged to authors or their institutions.
While maintaining an international perspective, Marine Science and Environmental Research places particular emphasis on research concerning Mediterranean marine and coastal ecosystems and the environmental challenges affecting the region. The journal encourages multidisciplinary and integrative studies that strengthen scientific understanding and contribute to the conservation and sustainable management of marine and coastal environments.
