Aim & Scope

Marine Science and Environmental Research (Mar. Sci. Environ. Res.) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge on marine and coastal environments through the publication of high-quality original research, reviews, and short communications. The journal covers a broad range of topics including marine biology and ecology, physical, chemical and biological oceanography, marine biodiversity, coastal and offshore habitats, fisheries science, aquaculture, conservation biology, marine protected areas, climate change impacts, invasive species, trophic interactions, benthic and pelagic ecosystem dynamics, plankton ecology, marine megafauna, marine genetics, molecular ecology and environmental DNA (eDNA) applications. The journal also welcomes studies on marine pollution, ecotoxicology, environmental monitoring, habitat restoration, coastal zone management, marine spatial planning, blue economy, renewable marine energy, remote sensing, GIS, environmental modeling, oceanographic data analysis, marine policy, maritime law, sustainability, and innovative methodologies in marine and environmental sciences. Particular attention is given to research addressing Mediterranean ecosystems and regional environmental challenges, while maintaining a global perspective. By fostering interdisciplinary approaches, the journal aims to support scientific understanding, evidence-based management, and the sustainable use and conservation of marine and coastal resources worldwide..
