Abstract
Starting from the 1930s Sabahattin Eyuboğlu published essays about art, literature, culture. He gave a special attention to literature and especially poetry in his essays. Neo-classical poetry, symbolist poetry and Garip poetry are special poetic areas that Eyuboğlu wrote about these topics. Not only to a certain understanding of poetry but also content, form, technique, innovation, tradition of poetry etc. many issues are the author’s special topics. Eyuboğlu’s essays have much properties especially of Turkish poetry characteristics of the 30s and 40s that will help us to understand.

Abstract
Sabahattin Eyuboğlu 1930’lu yıllardan başlayarak sanat, edebiyat, kültür hakkında çeşitli denemeler yayımlamıştır. Denemelerinde edebiyata ve özellikle de şiire özel bir önem vermiştir. Neo-klâsik şiir, sembolist şiir ve Garip şiiri Eyuboğlu’nun denemelerinde üzerinde en çok durduğu şiir anlayışlarıdır. Sadece belli şiir anlayışlarına değil şiirde içerik, biçim, teknik, yenilik, geleneksellik gibi pek çok konuya da değinen yazarın denemeleri Türk şiirinin bilhassa 30’lu ve 40’lı yıllarının anlaşılmasına yardımcı olacak özellikler taşır.
