Marmara University Journal of Turkology (MUJOT) publishes scientific studies such as research articles, review articles; historiographic studies, archival and monographic source publications, scholarly translation and transcriptions, bibliography and chronologies, book and thesis reviews, interviews and obituary studies along with announcements about related subjects about Turkic World particularly in the fields of language, culture, literature, history, folklore, geography and art.

Due to the high volume of manuscripts submitted to MUTAD, all submissions are processed in sequence through the stages of editorial pre-evaluation, peer review, and preparation for publication. We kindly thank you for your understanding.

MUJOT’s language of publication is Turkish. MUJOT also publishes articles in English and Russian. 

HISTORY

MUJOT has started its publication activities as a semi-annual, refereed/academic, printed and electronic journal published by Marmara University Institute of Turkic Studies. MUJOT was founded in 2014 by Prof. Dr. Gülşen Seyhan Alışık while she was the Director of the Institute. While the owner of the journal was Prof. Dr. Gülşen Seyhan Alışık on behalf of Marmara University Institute of Turkic Studies in 2014-2015, Prof. Dr. Okan Yeşilot has been the owner since the Fall of 2015. The journal was published as Spring and Autumn issues between 2014-2016 -the first six issues- and has been published twice a year as June and December issues since 2017. Since 2018, MUJOT has been published only as an electronic journal.
