Abstract

ABD’de Meluncanlar denilen ve Türk olduklarına inanılan bir etnik grup yaşamaktadır. Bunların, çok önceleri ABD’ye gelen Osmanlı askerleri olduğu tahmin edilmektedir. Anglo- Sakson egemenliği tarafından esmer tenli oldukları için dışlanan, okullara alınmayan, ABD İç Savaşı’nda Kuzeyliler tarafında savaşan, uzun mücadelelerden sonra sosyal haklarına kavuşan bu topluluk mensupları arasında, Abraham Lincoln’un, Elvis Presley’in bulunduğu belirtilmektedir.

Abstract

(Meluncan People) In the United States, there is a group called Meluncans, for which that is believed to have the roots from Turks. It is estimated that the ancestors of these Turks are the Ottoman soldiers. Meluncans, who were externalized from the schools due to their dark skin by Anglo- Saxons and who have fought on the side of white people since the civil wars in America, were able to attain their rights in the courts through only the jurisdictional wars. It is stated that there are couple of famous people such as Abraham Lincoln and Elvis Presley who are thought to have roots from Meluncans.
