A Method Which Can Be Used To Evaluate Financial Status Of The Public Hospitals In Turkey: Trend Analysis

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to propose trend analysis as a method which can be used during evaluation of the financial status of the public hospitals and to discuss applicability of it. For this purpose, a public hospital was taken to the coverage of the study and the financial status of the hospital between 1996-2000 was determined with the help of trend analysis. The policies and strategies which have been implemented by the hospital determined and evaluated at the end of the analysis, proposals have been developed due to obtained results that may lead the hospital to financial success.

Türkiye’de Kamu Hastanelerinin Finansal Durum Değerlendirmede Kullanılabilecekleri Bir Yöntem: Trend Analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki kamu hastanelerine finansal durumlarını değerlendirirken kullanılmak üzere bir yöntem olarak trend analizini önermek ve trend analizinin hastanelerde uygulanabilirliğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla, bir kamu hastanesi araştırma kapsamına alınmış ve 1996-2000 yılları arasındaki finansal durumu trend analizi yardımı ile belirlenmiştir. Analizler sonu-cunda hastanenin 5 yıllık dönemde uyguladığı finansal politika ve stratejiler belirlenmiş ve değerlen-dirilmiş, elde edilen sonuçlara göre hastaneyi finansal başarıya ulaştıracak öneriler geliştirilmiştir.
