Abstract

(The Relationship Between Ownership Structure and Firm Performance) It is clearly seen that there has been an increase on the reasearches dealing with the ownership structure and price performance recently. Different findings to assign the realtionships between ownership structure and firm performance have been obtained in both developed and developing markets. This study investigates the relationship between ownership concentration and the firm performance for Turkish listed companies. (ISE 100). This study covers 70 firms which traded in ISE 100 index, having appropriate data structure. The sample period of the study has also been determined as 2002-2007. As a result, in this study a significant relationship couldn’t be found statistically between ownership structure and both market and accounting based performance metrics.
