Euro’ya Geçiş ve Türkiye’nin İthalatına Etkisi

Abstract

Euro’ya geçişle birlikte en önemli beklentilerden biri de AB içinde ve dışında ticaretin artmasıdır. Tek para birimi kullanımı sonucu, döviz kurunda istikrar sağlanacağı ve döviz kuruyla ilgili maliyetlerin azaltılabileceği, böylece birliğin ticaret hacminin artacağı beklenmektedir. Euro Bölgesindeki bu gelişmelerin Türkiye’nin ithalatına olan etkisinin araştırıldığı bu çalışmada, Euro’ya geçişten sonra Türkiye’nin Euro Bölgesinden ithalatında tutar olarak bir artma olmasına rağmen, genel ithalat içindeki oranı olarak azalma gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.

(Euro-Changeover And Its Effect On Turkish Import)

Abstract

One of the most important expectations of the Euro-changeover is the increase in both inside and outside the European Union. As a result of using single currency, it is expected that the exchange rate stability will be achieved and related costs to the exchange rate can be eliminated, thus trade volume of the union will increase. In this study which examines the effect of these developments in Euro Area on Turkish import, finds that after Euro-changeover although Turkish import from Euro Area has increased in terms of quantity, it has decreased in terms of ratio of general import.
