Abstract

Mali basarısızlık problemleri çözümlenemeyen sorun haline gelmeden önce, isletmelerde finansal yeniden yapılanma çatısı altında bir takım önlemler alınmaktadır. Finansal yeniden yapılanma amacıyla isletmelerin sermaye yapısı, firma değeri ve hisse senedi performansında değisiklikler yapılmaktadır. Bu çalısmada, İMKB’de islem gören seçilmis sirketlerin 2001 Türkiye krizi süresince ve kriz sonrasındaki performansları ile finansal yeniden yapılanma uygulamalarını analiz etmek amacıyla bu sirketlerin mali tablo verileri incelenmistir. Bulgular, kriz sonrasında, firmaların aktifleri ile özsermayelerini artırmak ve kısa vadeli borçlarını azaltmak suretiyle finansal yeniden yapılanmaya gittiğini ortaya çıkarmıstır.

Corporate Financial Restructuring After Financial Crises

Abstract

Corporations strive to take various precautions against financial failure problems through financial restructuring processes before they become insoluble. Changes are made in the equity structure, value of firms, and performance of corporate stocks under a financial restructure frame. This study analyzed financial statements of selected firms trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange with the intention of tracing their restructuring practices and performance over the period of 2001 and 2003. Findings demonstrate that after a financial crisis period, companies undertaking an apposite financial restructuring process through increasing their assets and equities while decreasing their short term debts..
