Muhasebe Eğitimi ve Kurumsal Yönetim: Muhasebe Bölümü Öğrencilerinin Kurumsal Yönetim Algıları Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, gelişen kurumsal yönetim eğitimi ve uygulamalarından bahsedilmekte, Türkiye’de kurumsal yönetim dersinin muhasebe programlarındaki yeri incelenmekte ve öğrencilerin bu konudaki algıları ölçülmektedir. Çalışmamıza ait istatistiksel analiz sonuçları, kurumsal yönetimle ilgili bilgi edinmede üniversitelerin önemli rol oynadığını göstermektedir. Ayrıca ankette yer alan önermelerin çoğunda kurumsal yönetim dersini alan öğrencilerin dersi almayan öğrencilere göre daha net yargılara ve daha yüksek kurumsal yönetim algısına sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kız öğrencilerin de erkek öğrencilere göre kurumsal yönetim algılarının daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Accounting Education and Corporate Governance: A Study of Accounting Students’ Perception of Corporate Governance

Abstract

In this study, we discuss developing corporate governance education and practices, examine the place of corporate governance courses in accounting programs in Turkey, and measure the students’ perception on this issue. Statistical analysis results of this study indicate that universities play the important role of information source for corporate governance. In addition, students who have taken corporate governance courses have a more clear opinion in most of the propositions in the survey, and a higher perception of corporate governance compared to other students who have not taken these courses. It was also determined that female students have a higher perception of corporate governance than male students.
