Finansal Okuryazarlık ve Banka Müşteri Segmentasyonları Üzerine Bir Uygulama

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Tokat merkez ilçede bireysel, ticari ve tarımsal olarak segmente edilebilen banka müşterilerinin finansal okuryazarlık düzeylerini ve hangi segment grubunun daha finansal okuryazar olduğunu ortaya koymaya yöneliktir. Araştırmada, banka segment müşterilerinin finansal okuryazarlık seviyesinin düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Finansal okuryazarlık seviyesinin, söz konusu segment grupları içerisinde en düşük olanının tarımsal segment grubu, en fazla olanının ise ticari segment grubu olduğu bulgularına ulaşılmıştır. Aynı zamanda finansal okuryazarlık seviyelerinin ölçülmesi amacıyla oluşturulan ölçeğin alt faktörlerinin birbirleri ile ilişkili oldukları bulgusuna da rastlanılmıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara istinaden, banka segment müşterilerinin finansal okuryazarlık düzeylerinin geliştirilmesine ilişkin önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract

In this study, it has been aimed to present financial literacy levels of bank customers, who can be segmented as retail, corporate and agricultural customers, and which segment group has higher financial literacy levels in the central district of Tokat province. In the study, financial literacy of segment customers of banks are found to be at low levels. The lowest level of financial literacy is found to be in the agricultural segment group, while the highest level of financial literacy is found to be in the corporate segment group, respectively. Furthermore, the sub-factors of the scale, which was developed to measure Considering the findings of the study, some recommendations are provided in order to improve the financial literacy levels of segment customers of banks.
