1. The Journal of Accounting and Finance Applications is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (in February and July). Articles can be submitted in Turkish or English.
2. Articles submitted to the Journal of Accounting and Finance Applications must not have been previously published elsewhere or submitted to another print/electronic medium for publication. If it is determined that an article submitted to and/or accepted for peer review has been submitted to another medium or has been previously published in the same or a similar form, the process will be cancelled. The institutions to which the relevant author(s) are affiliated will be informed.
3. The journal publishes original research in the fields of accounting and finance and related areas.
4. Articles are evaluated through Dergipark (www.dergipar.org.tr). Applications are accepted via Dergipark (www.dergipark.org.tr).
5. Articles submitted to the Journal of Accounting and Finance Applications are first subjected to a preliminary review in terms of form and content. Articles deemed suitable in terms of form and content are submitted to the editorial board for peer review. Whether articles submitted to the Journal of Accounting and Finance Applications will enter the peer review process is determined within 4 weeks during the preliminary review phase.
6. Articles uploaded to the Dergipark system are checked for similarity using the 'iThenticate' plagiarism detection program. Articles with a similarity rate above %20 are editorially rejected.
7. If deemed suitable by the Editorial Board, reviewers are assigned to the articles reviewed anonymously. Each article is sent as an anonymous text to at least two reviewers.
8. If revisions are requested from the author based on the reports from the reviewers, the revisions must be made and submitted to the editorial board within the timeframe specified by the editorial board. Otherwise, the work will be removed from the editorial process.
9. All submitted Turkish and English articles must include a Turkish title, a Turkish abstract, an English title, and an English abstract at the beginning. The abstract should not exceed 200 words. The abstracts should include: The abstract should include information on the aims, methods, findings, and conclusions. Citations and references should not be used in the abstract. Keywords should be written in both English and Turkish below the abstract. The number of keywords should be at least 3 and at most 5 words and/or keyword groups. Keywords should preferably be selected from indexes related to the field. The abstract should be written in 10-point Times New Roman font, justified on both sides, and fit on a single page. The introduction should begin on the next page (page 2).
10. The type of article (research, case report, review, etc.) should be specified in the application for publication in the Journal of Accounting and Finance Applications.
11. The title of the article should be written first in the original language of the article, then in the other language, in 12-point font, uppercase, bold, and centered on the page. The abstract, keywords, and JEL codes should be written in 10-point font, with the first letter capitalized and the rest in lowercase, bold, and left-aligned. If the work has been previously presented, is derived from a project or thesis, etc., a footnote (*) should be added to the end of the article title to provide the necessary explanation.
12. Articles in the JEL field must include at least one and at most three JEL (Journal of Economic Literature) classifications. For JEL classifications to be selected according to the article's subject, please refer to http://www.aeaweb.org/econlit/jelCodes.php. The JEL classification is located below the abstract in both Turkish and English.
13. Below the article title, left-aligned, the full names of the author(s) should be written with the first letter capitalized and the rest in lowercase. A footnote should be added to the name, including the title, institution, and email address.
14. All articles must conform to the writing guidelines outlined in 'The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th edition), 2001', published by the American Psychological Association (APA), for the formatting of bibliography, footnotes, in-text citations, tables, figures, graphs, images, etc.
15. Submitted articles should be written with 6nk spacing before and after the text, and single line spacing. Including tables and figures, they should be a maximum of 20 pages and A4 size. The body text of the article should be prepared using 9-point Times New Roman font and Turkish font. Page layout should be justified with 2.5 cm margins at the top and bottom, 2 cm margins on the right and left, and a 0.5 cm margin on the left for binding. The header and footer margins should be different on odd and even pages, and 1.25 cm.
16. Title classification in the text is done numerically. For example, 1, 1.1., 1.1.1.; 2, 2.1., 2.1.1., 3, 3.1., 3.1.1. Only the ‘Introduction’ and ‘References’ titles will not be numbered. Except for the main titles in Turkish and English (Times New Roman, 12 point, bold and centered), all other titles should be written with the first letter capitalized and the rest in lowercase, bold and left-aligned.
17. Page numbers should be indicated at the bottom center of the article.
18. Articles submitted for publication should not have paragraph indentations in the text or in the titles.
19. Figures, graphs, and tables in articles submitted to the Journal of Accounting and Finance Applications must conform to the format specified by the journal. Footnotes, graphs, and tables should be placed on or immediately following the cited page whenever possible. Notes below graphs and tables should aim to make these materials understandable without referring to the main text. Table and figure titles should be left-aligned, 9-point Times New Roman font, bold, and numbered (e.g., "Table 1:" or "Figure 5:"). Table and figure titles should be italicized (Example: Table 1: Number of Films Shot and Released Between 1989 and 1996). Tables and figures should be left-aligned, and text wrapping should be disabled. Notes below tables should be 9-point and italicized. Equations and formulas used in the article text should be numbered.
20. The entire bibliography should be prepared using Times New Roman, 7.5-point font, single line spacing, and paragraph spacing of 0 nk before and after. Each entry in the bibliography should hang 1.25 cm. Text should be justified.
21. Each appendix included in the article should be on a separate page, following the bibliography. Titles should be bold, capitalized, and left-aligned (e.g., "APPENDIX 1:").
22. If there are footnotes at the bottom of the page and any source is cited in the footnote, this source must also be listed in the bibliography. Works not used in the article text should not be included in the bibliography.
23. Articles should follow the Turkish Language Association's (TDK) writing guide and rules. For detailed information, please refer to the TDK website: www.tdk.gov.tr. Turkish dictionaries should be used as much as possible instead of foreign words. When using unusual Turkish words, the foreign language equivalent can be given in parentheses the first time it appears. Foreign words in the text should be italicized.
24. Articles submitted in English and the English sections of articles submitted in Turkish must undergo a language check by a qualified professional before submission. Articles that are linguistically inadequate, regardless of content, will be returned/rejected. Authors must pay utmost attention to this matter.
25. The author(s) are responsible for the opinions expressed in the articles.
26. The author(s) of articles accepted and published in the journal (written and electronic format) are deemed to have transferred their copyrights to Dumlupınar University free of charge.
27. All communication regarding article submission and evaluation processes is conducted through Dergipark (www.dergipark.org.tr).
28. If submitted articles do not comply with the above-mentioned conditions, an editorial rejection will be given without being put through the process.
29. Article submission to the journal is done via www.dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/mufuy.

In studies requiring ethical committee approval, information regarding the approval (committee name, date, and number) should be included in the methods section and also on the first/last page of the article. In case reports, information regarding the signing of the informed consent form must be included in the article.
Articles submitted to the Journal of Accounting and Finance Applications must be uploaded to the system in two copies (in Word format):
- The first file must contain the original file (in Word format) with the author information.
- Since the Journal of Accounting and Finance Applications uses a double-blind peer review system, the second file (in Word format) should not contain the author information.
In addition, any personal information in the Word file must be removed.
