Türkiye İmalat Sanayiinde Ölçek Genişlemesi Ve Verimlilik İlişkileri: Verdoorn Hipotezi Üzerinden Ampirik Bir Bakış

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Verdoorn yasasının 1963-2013 dönemi Türkiye imalat sanayiindeki geçerliği araştırılmıştır.

Verdoorn, imalat sanayiinde, uzun dönemde katma değer artış hızıyla ortalama işgücü verimliliği artış hızı

arasında doğrusal ve 0,45 ölçüsünde sabit bir bağlantının olduğunu öne sürmektedir. Türkiye imalat sanayii

üzerinde ARDL sınır testi ile yaptığımız analizler, bu öngörünün çoğu imalat sanayi sektörleri için geçerli

olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Diğer yandan sektörlerin uzun dönemli verimlilik büyümesini kaynaklarına

ayrıştırdığımızda, toplam faktör verimliliği ve yatırım artışlarının uzun dönemli verimlilik artışının ana

unsurları olduğu, ölçek etkisinin ise ulaşım araçları sektörü dışında zayıf bir unsur olduğu ortaya çıkmaktadır.
