Abstract
Bu makalenin amacı Güney Kore kalkınması üzerinde derin ve önemli etkileri olan toprak reformunun gerçekleşme sürecini incelemektir. Yüzyıllarca Kore’de siyasi ve ekonomik egemenliğe sahip olan büyük toprak sahipleri sınıfının Japon kolonyalizmi döneminden itibaren gücünü kaybetmesine ve sonunda ortadan kalkmasına yol açan dinamiklerin ele alındığı çalışmada köylü isyanlarının bu süreçteki kritik rolü ortaya konmaya çalışılacaktır.

Abstract
The aim of this article is to consider the land reform process which has deep and important effects on South Korean development. The dynamics which led to the loss of power of the politically and economically dominant big landowner class since Japanese colonialism and its eventual abolishment are discussed. The critical role of the peasant revolts in this process is examined
