Criticism to Avicenna Acting from Averroes’s Aristotle Defense in the Convert of Modal Proposals
Abstract
The topic of convert proposal that located in First Analytics, the prologue of classical logic books, is made a subject of study because syllogism sometimes is a process required to obtain the result in reasoning. The proposal without interfering its quality, is an operation in which the subject and predicate are being replacement. In Aristotle’s system, its rules have been set both in absolute and modal propositions. Avicenna discussed some of pints set out in Aristotle’s system by problematizing them and led to be discussed them after him. In this study, we will try to focus on Averroes’s defense of Aristotle against points problematized by Avicenna and offer an analyze of his critics to Avicenna within this framework. Thus, after centuries Averross had found, by his perspective of categories of essential-accidental or virtual-actual, Aristotle's rightfulness and Avicenna's fallacy will have been grounded.
