Kadın ve Kız Çocuğu Cinayetlerine Yönelik Kavramsal Tartışmalar: Femisid, Feminisid ve Ciudad Juárez Örneği

Abstract

Kadınlara ve kız çocuklarına yönelik şiddet, Latin Amerika’da ve bilhassa Meksika’da çok ağır bir krize dönüşmüştür. Söz konusu duruma yönelik uluslararası akademik ve siyasal ilgi artmaktadır. Bu makale, söz konusu duruma dair tartışmalara ve çalışmalara katkıda bulunmak amacıyla, kadın ve kız çocuğu cinayetlerini farklı kuramsal konumlardan anlamak ve açıklamak için kullanılan kavramlar olan “femisid” ve “feminisid”i tanıtmakta ve tahlil etmektedir. Bu kavramların gelişiminin ve kullanılmasının daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi amacıyla da 1993’ten beri binlerce kadın ve kız çocuğunun kurban hâline geldiği Meksika’nın Ciudad Juárez şehrindeki feminisid krizini ele almaktadır. Başlıca, feminist, kriminolojik ve insan hakları yaklaşımlarından faydalanan çalışma, Meksika’daki yetkililerin ihmalleri ve politikaları sonucu ortaya çıkan tablo itibariyle, söz konusu cinayetlerin siyasal olduğunu savunmaktadır. Juárez vakasını detaylı biçimde tanıtmak ve analiz etmek suretiyle, bu çalışmayla birlikte Türk akademisinde var olan ve gelecekte yapılacak kadınlara ve kız çocuklarına yönelik şiddet çalışmalarına katkıda bulunulması amaçlanmaktadır.
