Abstract

İntihar amaçlı kullanılan yöntemler kültürlere göre değişmektedir. En sık ası yönteminin kullanıldığı, bunu ateşli silah, yüksekten atlama, ilaç içme gibi yöntemlerin takip ettiği bilinmektedir. Yöntem seçiminde kişinin ruhsal yapısı, cinsiyet, yaş ve değer yargıları etkili olduğu bildirilmektedir. Sunulan olguda adli soruşturma sonucunda, şahsın kullandığı araç ile intihar ettiği saptanmıştır. İlginç ve az rastlanılan bir intihar yöntemi olduğu için olgu sunulmaya değer bulunmuştur. 40 yaşında erkek olgu, kullandığı araç ile seyir halindeki bir kamyona arkadan çarpması ile genel beden travmasına bağlı iç organ yaralanması ve iç kanama sonucu hayatını kaybetmiştir. Yapılan soruşturma sonucunda şahsın intihar ettiği belirlenmiş ve takipsizlik verilmiştir. Sunulan olgu nadir rastlanılan bir intihar yöntemi olması ve orijinin belirlenmesinde olay yeri incelemesinin öneminin vurgulanması açısından sunulmaya değer bulunmuştur.

Suicide with the Vehicle That Was Driven by the Person Himself: A Case Report

Abstract

The methods of suicide change according to the cultural backgrounds. It is known that the most common method is hanging and it is followed by some other methods such as gunshot, jumping from height, drug overdose. It is reported that mental status, gender, age and value judgements are effective in choosing the way of suicide. In this case; after the forensic investigation, it is revealed that the person committed suicide with the vehicle that he drove. As it is an uncommon and strange method of suicide, it seems worthy to be presented. In our case, 40 years-old male hit a moving truck from behind with his car and lost his life as a result of visceral injuries and internal bleeding related to general body trauma. After the investigation, it is understood that the man committed suicide and the judgement of non-suit is given. The presented case is worthy to be presented as it is an uncommon suicide method and emphasizes the importance of crime scene investigation to determine its origin.
