A Rare Localization of Diverticular Disease: Gastric Diverticulum

Abstract

Gastric diverticulum is a rare pathology that is usually encountered incidentally during endoscopic evaluations. Asymptomatic cases do not require treatment. In a small number of cases, it may present with serious complications related to the disease such as massive bleeding and perforation. In this article, we present a case of fundus-located diverticulum that was diagnosed during endoscopic evaluation of the stomach.

Divertiküler Hastalığın Nadir Görülen Bir Lokalizasyonu: Gastrik Divertikül

Abstract

Gastrik divertikül endoskopik değerlendirmeler sırasında genellikle rastlantısal olarak karşılaşılan ve nadir görülen bir patolojidir. Asemptomatik olgularda tedavi gerektirmez. Az sayıda olguda masif kanama ve perforasyon gibi hastalığa bağlı ciddi komplikasyonlar ile karşımıza çıkabilir. Bu yazıda midenin endoskopik değerlendirmesi sırasında tanı konulmuş olan; fundus yerleşimli divertikül olgusu sunuldu.
