Abstract

Aileyi oluşturan asli unsur kadın ve erkektir. Asli unsurlardan meydana gelen ve aileyi genişleterek toplumla etkileşimi sağlayan unsurlarsa çocuklardır. Çocuk, tanımı yapılırken birçok benzetime maruz kalan bir unsurdur. Bunlardan bazıları anne babadan meydana gelen meyve, bir tür nimet ya da imtihan olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır.
Anne ve baba cinsiyet rolleri doğrultusunda çocukların hayatındaki başat rol modellerdir. Çocuk için annenin de babanın da yoksunluğu çeşitli problemlere sebep olmaktadır. Nitekim çocuk annesinden kadın cinsiyetiyle özdeşim sağlayan cinsiyet rollerini ve anneliği öğrenmekte, annesi bakımını sağlarken sevgi ve şefkat duygularını da bu yolla tatmaktadır. Bunun yanında henüz hayatına nasıl yön vereceğini bilemeyen çocuk sağlıklı bir otoriteye de ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Bu bağlamda babanın velayet sorumluluğu öne çıkmaktadır.
Değerlendirmesini yaptığımız kitapta velayet sorumluluğu bağlamında babanın önemine vurgu yapılmaktadır. Modern çağın beraberinde getirdiği şartlar sebebiyle bahse konu sorumluluğun göz ardı edildiğine dikkat çekilmekte ve bu sorunun sebepleri irdelenmektedir.

The Problem of Fatherlessness in the Modern Age

Abstract

The primary constituents of the family are men and women. Children are the elements that make up the family and provide interaction with society by expanding the family. The child is an element that is subjected to many analogies in its definition. Some of them appear as the fruit that comes from the parents, a kind of blessing or a test.
Mother and father are the main role models in children's lives in line with gender roles. For the child, the absence of both mother and father causes various problems. As a matter of fact, the child learns gender roles and motherhood from his/her mother, who identifies with the female gender, and he/she experiences feelings of love and compassion in this way while his/her mother provides care for him/her. In addition, the child, who does not yet know how to direct his/her life, needs a healthy authority. In this context, the father's responsibility of guardianship comes to the forefront.
In the book we have reviewed, the importance of the father's guardianship responsibility is emphasized. It is noted that this responsibility has been neglected due to the conditions brought about by the modern age, and the causes and consequences of this issue are examined.
