1920-1931 YILLARI ARASI İSTANBUL DARÜLFÜNUNU TALEBE REHBERLERİ’NDE ADLİ TIP DERSİ MÜFREDÂTI

Abstract

1920 yılından itibaren her yıl yayımlanan İstanbul Darülfünunu’na ait Talebe Rehberleri, üniversite eğitimi hakkında etraflı bilgiler vermektedir. Talebe Rehberi, İstanbul Darülfünunu Tıp, Edebiyat, Fünun ve Hukuk Medreseleri’nde öğrencilere verilen derslerin isimlerinin, hocalarının, müfredâtının ve haftada kaç saat, hangi günler, hangi saatler arasında verildiklerinin öğrencilere tanıtıldığı rehber kitapçıklardır. Talebe Rehberlerinde eğitim yılı, kış yarıyıl dönemi ve yaz yarıyıl dönemi olarak ikiye ayrılmıştır. Öğrenciler talebe rehberine bakarak o yıl içinde alacakları dersler ile ilgili bilgiler edinirlerdi. Bu dersler içinde tıp ve hukuk fakültelerinde verilen adli tıp dersi de bulunmaktadır. Talebe Rehberleri’nde Tıp Fakültesi’nde 1919-1924 yılları arasında adli tıp dersi veren Dr. Vasfi Bey’in, 1925 yılında ders veren Dr. Halit Naci Tekin’in ve 1926-1931 yılları arasında Dr. Ethem Akif Battalgazi’nin takip ettiği müfredât programları bulunmaktadır. Bu arada 1923-1931 yılları arasında Hukuk Fakültesi’nde adli tıp dersi veren Dr. Ethem Akif Battalgazi’nin takip ettiği müfredât programları yer almaktadır.

Forensic Medicine Education Curriculum in Istanbul University Student Guides Between 1920-1931

Abstract

Abstract Istanbul University Student Guides (Talebe Rehberleri) whi-ch have been published annually since 1920 are valuable academic sources to supply for comprehensive information about university education at that time. These guides pro-vide information with the education, curriculum, names of lecturers, education days and hours, and even the addresses of departments of the Istanbul University Faculties of Medi-cine, Letters, Science and Law. It has been proven that there existed forensic medicine education in Faculties of Medicine and Law in Istanbul University at that time. According to the information acquired by these Guides, Dr. Vasfi Bey (1884-1924) worked as the professor of forensic medicine between 1919 and 1924. Succeeding him, Dr. Halit Naci (1881-1947) and Dr. Ethem Akif (1875-1952) gave forensic medicine les-sons respectively in the Faculty of Medicine until 1931. Ac-cording to student guides, Dr. Ethem Akif was the first profes-sor of forensic medicine in Faculty of Law, as a physician. He structured the curriculum for forensic medicine education for the Faculty of Law, as well. Dr. Ethem Akif became profes-sor in Faculty of Medicine, later on, and he reorganized the curriculum of forensic medicine education at that School.
